¡Hola Amigos! Mexico city is one of the most beautiful and vibrant cities I have visited. Es fantástico. Zocalo, Pyramids, historic churches, yummy street foods, and world-class museums showcasing Mexican culture are the main attractions. It even inspired my dad to pretend he was a Mexican and just embrace the culture. Mexico City has amazing art and colorful handicrafts. And AYEEEEEEEE their (from what I heard) unique and flavorful way of consuming Tequila and Mezcal is a sight to see. Lemon and onion, just simple garnishers, have never been used more creatively and flavorfully. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. And above all, the people are very warm, friendly, and extremely helpful… so jovial that the grumpy grandma across the street would leave Mexico City smiling. And let’s not forget the best part. The part that really made Ms. Grumpy-Grandma smile. Mexico City is very accessible. A very vibrant city where you would like to go back again and again…

Few things to be considered when you plan to visit Mexico City

  • Mexico City is located at 7,300 ft above sea level. Consult a physician and take necessary precautions if you have problems with high altitude
  • March to May are the best seasons to go but you can consider June to August too as hotels might be cheaper and as far as rain is considered it rains for very short time
  • Brush up your basic Spanish which is very necessary.
  • Book the hotel at a central place and try to hire taxi from the hotel. Its better to hire a taxi then renting a car
  • Make sure to have some Mexican Dollars (Pesos) before you arrive or you can exchange at the airport once yo arrive. The rates are quite good.
  • Plan the dates of visiting the museums before hand and buy tickets online. Museums are closed on Mondays.
